2 months plus...4.28.25

Hi Family! It has been a while, but Richard wrote after our wonderful Mission Presidents Seminar, so now I am back! The MP Seminar was such a spiritual lift for us, and we were so well taught by our Area Presidents, which includes Elder Ian Ardern, and Elder Shane Bowen! Elder Echohawk was also here for our first 2 months, but he has some Health problems, so we will be getting a new member of the Presidency in August! It was a wonderful time, with a  lovely hotel room, food every time we turned around, and the best company!

They are putting a sprinkler system in the grounds just out side our window, here at the office. I have watched them as they have dug up the grass, raked it and seperated the grass from the dirt, pick it up and haul it off, Till and losen the dirt, and today they have a screen on a stand, and they are shoveling the dirt on the screen, and it filters to the ground, with no rocks or clumps! I want to go out there so bad, and sift the dirt with them! that has always fastinated me to sift the sand and feel it so free of other obsticals as I put my hands and toes through the soft dirt or sand, and it feels so good! Funny huh! I could have some fun with the grandkids doing that! Well, a picture in my mind!

Dad and I just had lunch with another couple to a place quite close by, and it took us an hour to get there, and 10 minutes to get home! The traffic was so bad, it is unbelieveable! Dad is good at driving tho- scares me, but he manevuers all around and gets us there, with out any scratches or dents!!I'm so proud of him!

I went to the Mabuhay House on Tuesday, and there were quite a few children there, they had casts on for their club feet, and a darling little 2 year old that had his cleft pallett fixed, and doing so well! They are all so sweet, and so happy to see us come and play with them for a while! It is fun for me too, and always makes me grateful for all my blessings! One of our RM Sister Missionary called and ask dad for a Priesthood blessing, and so we arranged to go to her ward last Sunday! There was a lady there that recognized me and came and gave me a hug! She was a lady I met at Babuhay that had a double cleft palete fixed, and I didn't know she was a member! She latched on to me, and was so glad to meet dad, she has one more surgery and then she can go back to her provence! She is so hard to understand as she has lived her 33 years with a double cleft palete! Hopefully I will see her tomorrow at Mabuhay and take a picture! She made me feel good, and thinks I look like I am in my early 50's!

Some of the other Sisters and I walk over to the Temple and fold clothes in the laundry room on some days, and it is a wonderful experience to serve there with the workers! One man scrubs every shirt collar, and the neck of every dress individually, by hand! The temple clothes are so white and it is a special spirit as I serve there! Dad and I participated in a session on Thursday as well! So grateful to have a temple across the street from us!

It was so fun to work in the MTC on Friday, and see all the exciting new missionaries and families say good by and then start their missions! I get a kick out of them getting their shots, they are so afraid it is going to hurt, sometimes I have to hold their hands! My job is to record the shots they get, and then file their card! We give them cookies after their shots, and I get to eat all the broken ones, which isn't good for me, but they are so tasty! Then Dad and I are invited to eat at the MTC for lunch for my service that morning! We have a good time, and once again are getting familiar with the Filipino food!

Every day we run into missionaries we know and it is like a reunion, each time! It is so great to see them and hear about their lives and what they are doing! Friday night we met the other couples at one of the resturantes in Eastwood for dinner, and it is fun to visit and eat with them! However it was a vietnamese place, and by the end of the day, Dad was tired of rice and the strange food! Fun though and I told him he needs to be more adventureous!

I went to the Mabuhay house today, and it was full of people that needed help, or their children needed help One mother, had 2 daughters, and 1 son there that had to have cornia transplants, and one of them couldn" hear either! My heart aches for them! They love to sing with us and laugh with us , and talk to us, and take their pictures! they are amazing! One little boy, Balong has been there every since I have been here, and his feet were turned backwards with bones where ankles should be and not recognizable as feet. He has been having slow correction, and last week he had major work done on them! 6 hours of surgery! He always smiles and is so cute! My new friend wasn't there today! I will send some pictures!

Well, I need to finish this up, and besides it is getting too long! Dad and I hear you are getting a little rain, and the weather is so beautiful! Glad Susie and Travis got home from Hawaii, and found their family probably happy to have them home! We love to get Julia, Davis's and Winwards letters, and so thrilled to be doing this great work with you! We so appriciate the prayers and love, we feel that comes from all of you! You can email us any time and keep us posted! Dad is working harder than ever, and seems to know what he is doing, and that has been an answer to prayers! I manage to keep my self busy, with little jobs everyday! We are having a good time and getting to know so many wonderful people, and seeing so many old friends! The Lord is aware of everyone of us and we can feel his guidance in our daily work!

We love you all, continue to let your light shine! Thanks for all your prayers!

Love, Mom and Dad
