Dear Family,
We love, love the Fathers day Gift! Friday night we watched one of the videos, and laughed, and cried and enjoyed our memories with our wonderful family! We watched a fun family reunion at Wagstaff ranch, playing in the large stream behind the house, everyone was there, and Richmond was the youngest, just a little baby! Now look at him, preparing for a mission, all the grandchildren so cute! There was a basket ball game on the driveway, with Jason and Dad verses Susie and Doug! So fun. a full game! Susie and Doug won! Everyone looks so young! A New years eve party, dancing and etc! Thank you so much, for all the efforts put into getting these family movies so we can view them! We love you all and Thanks!
Every mission is different, and this one is for us in comparison with our last one, where we were out among the people and the missionaries, gave a ton of talks and workshops and bore testimony all the time, and saw more of the way the Filipinos live and we served along side them! We are still very involved in the work now as well, but our work is coming to an office every day, and associating with the Travel team that consists of 5 young ladies and about 7 young men, this is their job, not missionaries, all of them Filipino, and they talk all the time in their language, and I can't blame them! We love them and they are so very helpful and wonderful, and fun! They love when dad brings in chocolate or candy for them! Which he does often! They are the nicest people and we love the association we have! Occasionally we see and have contact with other American couples that work in other departments in our building and the surrounding buildings!
Richard is always busy, here at the office as well as at our home office, working with Mission Presidents, and arranging travel for missionaries, going home, getting approval from all he needs to get that from, informing everyone involved and etc! Never ending service!
I find things to do to keep me busy! I go with other Sisters to Mabuhay House one day a week, help interview missionaries going to the US Embassy, serve at the temple by folding laundry, do initiatory, and we try to get a session in a week! I am hoping to get on to do a shift on Wed. Morning, and be an ordinance worker! I work at the MTC on intake day which is every other Friday! I help with the Public affairs, putting together kits, button, or what ever they are doing at the time! I have done filing at the area office, I work on the CLS program with the mission Presidents wife! I help dad a lot, and serve where ever I am needed! At the end of the day we go home, and eat, sometimes walk around Eastwood, depending on Richards work, and study together, sometimes watch a little TV, go to bed, and start all over! We love being missionaries and doing the work assigned to us on this mission! We are happy and so enjoying this time together! We love the knew friends we meet, and the old ones that show up all the time!
Last Sat. morning we had a ward party at the American Embassy swimming pool and party area! Richard helped cook hamburgers and hot dogs on the grill,I took a salad, and we rode with other couples from the mission! After the ward party, we went to the Aquarium and had a good time there with other couples that met up with us there! There was a fantastic water fountain show to music, that was amazing! Such a fun day!
Sunday morning we went with Elder and Sister Lacanienta to celebrate Memorial day at the American Cemetery! It was a beautiful morning and the reverence and spirit was felt there as we honored the service men that gave their lives for our country! I think we took the 12 Andersons there when they came over in November! Do you remember! Then we went to our Stake Conference, which was so good, and we enjoyed a wonderful spirit there!
Our team had another volley ball game last night, and it was so fun the crushers won again and I wore my t shirt! It was fun, and sure helps to get to know the people that work on your floor, that you see almost every day!
Just read over this letter, and it is a little boring, but that is our mission and we love it and we are having a good time, and we are happy! We miss everyone of course, but it is so nice to get to see you on Skype or face time, and talk to you so frequently! We are speaking in one of the wards in Sacrament meeting on Sunday, so I have read more Conference talks and Scriptures and enjoying the preparation for that!
We are going over to the temple now to do a session, so I better close, and tell you that we Love you all so much, and you bring so much happiness and joy into our lives! Please take care of each other, and love and respect each other! Have a wonderful time at Wagstaffs on Sunday, and eat a good hamburger for us! Thanks for your prayers and love and support! We can feel it!
Missionary work is amazing, and we love it!
Love, Mom and Dad,
Grandpa and Grandma,
Elder and Sister Anderson
